Hi, I’m Jen Smollett, and for nearly 15 years, I’ve been helping people recognise and use their strengths, overcome self-doubt, and claim the success they deserve.
I’m a leadership and confidence coach, an EMCC Senior Practitioner, a former children’s ICU nurse, and an occasional murder mystery actor. But above all, I’m someone who believes that you already are who you need to be, to be the best leader, the best person you can be, and I want you to believe this too.
I work with people who have the career and life “success” they always wanted, but now they find themselves questioning If they are really cut out for this? Are they really as good as other people think they are? Are they good enough?
I provide one-on-one and group coaching as well as tailored programmes to help you:
Find clarity in your goals and direction.
Identify, challenge and change your internal and external barriers to success.
Lead with confidence, authenticity and resilience.
Stop overthinking and start taking action towards the life and career you deserve.
This isn’t just about talking: it’s about creating real change with practical tools, strategies and a clear action plan designed just for you.
A Safe Space for Growth
At the heart of my coaching are three core threads:
Authenticity: Helping you succeed as the person you truly are, not who you think you "should" be.
Resilience: Equipping you with the mindset and skills to navigate challenges.
Confidence: Building belief in yourself so you can step up and take your place at the table.
I create a safe, inclusive and judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you’re a leader, an aspiring leader or someone ready to make a big change, I’ll help you break through the barriers that are holding you back and support you in realising your potential.
Proven Track Record: My clients have moved into leadership roles, built confidence and achieved transformational change in their careers and lives.
Personalised & Evidence-Based: I tailor every coaching experience to your unique needs using proven coaching methodologies.
Real Results: Clients consistently increase their confidence from midway on a ten-point scale to an eight or nine after coaching.
Risk-Free First Session: If you don’t feel coaching is the right fit after our first session, I’ll refund your investment, no questions asked.
My practice is informed by continuous professional development and a passion for learning.
I bring a trauma-informed perspective to coaching, having completed the in-depth 'Coaching and Trauma: Concepts, Boundaries, and Effective Practice' programme with Animas. This 5-month programme explored a wide range of trauma-related topics including developmental trauma, racism and trauma, allyship in coaching, and LGBT+ and trauma.
I also draw on lived experience through my own experience as a parent through adoption.
I’m an experienced neurodiversity coach and have supported many clients with ADHD, Autism, or both. I’ve completed Animas’ 5-month training on Neurodiversity in Coaching, with a focus on neuro-affirming practice and intersectionality.
In addition to my original coaching qualifications, I have undertaken further training in:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness
Positive Psychology
Motivation
Resilience
I’m also part way through a Master’s in Psychology and regularly read academic research and psychological literature to inform my practice.
My love of learning is one of my greatest strengths and I believe it enriches the coaching experience I offer.
You are capable of more than you think. You deserve success on your terms.
Let’s create a plan to break through what’s holding you back and build the confidence, resilience and leadership skills to get where you want to be.
